Patch 1.0.6 April 25, 2026

## What changed - **Quest system** — fixed cases where players could lose their active quest and become soft-locked with no objective to pursue - **Background processes** — improved cleanup when closing the game to prevent processes from remaining active after exit ## Bug Fixes - **Quest handling** — reduced soft-lock occurrences caused by players losing active quest status - **Game closure** — background processes now properly terminate when the game closes ## Overall Quest tracking is now more stable and the game properly closes all background processes on exit.

## What changed - **Black screen hang on PC** — resolved crash affecting some players - **FPS settings persistence** — now saves correctly between sessions on PC and PC Handhelds - **"Tinsel Ave." level** — players no longer get stuck on the 6 door sequence - **"Wallop Bay" level** — removed geometry that could trap players - **"Friends in Deep Places" side quest** — NPC now appears correctly in "Fart Harbor" level - **"Slugs in the Shell" quest item** — now spawns correctly in "Fart Harbor" level ## Bug Fixes All changes above resolve progression blockers and technical issues across PC platforms. ## Overall This patch eliminates six critical bugs that prevented progression or caused crashes on PC versions.
  • Resolved a black screen hang that some PC players could experience.
  • FPS will now save correctly between sessions on PC and PC Handhelds.
  • Players will now no longer get stuck on the 6 door sequence in the “Tinsel Ave.” level.

## What changed - **Steam launch crash** — fixed a crash that could occur when starting the game - **WASD key rebinding** — players can now rebind W, A, S, and D keys in controls settings - **Gamepad rebinding loop** — resolved an issue where players could get stuck in a loop when accepting gamepad control changes - **Data tracking opt-out** — added ability to disable data and analytics tracking in the Settings Menu (previously only available during initial setup) - **Menu audio** — fixed corrupted or glitchy sound effects when interacting with settings sliders, weapon wheel, and other menu items - **Licensed music exclusion** — "Game Over" music track now respects the "Toggle Licensed Music" setting when set to "Off" ## Bug Fixes - **Clergy Row clue collection** — players can now correctly collect a clue when freeing the jailed Cop, which counts toward "Our Lesser Brothers" and "Secrets of the Shrew Shortage" achievements - **The Old Subway clue collection** — players can now correctly collect a clue after speaking to the Cheeselegger Foreman, which counts toward "Our Lesser Brothers" and "Secrets of the Shrew Shortage" achievements ## Overall This patch fixes critical crashes and menu audio issues while restoring clue collection in two story levels that previously prevented achievement progression.
